To begin a discussion of these questions, 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ Weekly sought the opinions of Bob Brown of the National Greens, Greens (WA) Senator Christabel Chamarette, Green Alliance Victorian Senate candidate Francesca Davidson, Australian Democrats leader Senator John Coulter, Victorian Independent Senator Janet Powell, Sam Watson of the Australian Indigenous Peoples Party, Dick Nichols, a national coordinator of the Democratic Socialist campaign, and Larry Marshall, spokesperson for the Rainbow Alliance election campaign in Victoria.
