The Promised Land: We Stand at the Crossroads — The story of black Chicago between World War II and the end of the 1960s. With thousands of migrants still pouring in from the south every day, the cultural life and politics of the second largest US city were being changed dramatically as a new black militancy began to emerge. ABC-TV, Tuesday, November 17, 11.10pm.
