M1: 'A shared vision of a just society'

June 27, 2001
Issue

"M1 was a great, inspiring demonstration of people's power and of what we can achieve if we organise against corporate tyranny, whatever the odds. I think the most inspiring thing at M1 was the level of solidarity and unity among protesters, and the shared vision of a new, just society.

"It really showed the potential of our movement and the opportunities that lie ahead if we fight together. Resistance played an integral role at M1 in helping thousands of activists to become aware of the possibility of a world without corporate tyranny, exploitation and greed. Resistance is helping to bring these possibilities into reality."

Lauren Carroll-Harris, Sydney Resistance high school activist.
