Ratbag Radio Network's news and commentary program — LeftCast — has been reformatted this year and is now being offered on a weekly basis as web audio and a podcast channel. You can listen on line, download or subscribe to LeftCast by visiting its web site.
LeftCast is always looking for input, reporters or useful audio, and is keen to encourage and assist activists gain digital audio recording skills. As the project advances it is hoped that LeftCast will become a major resource for news in audio format that can partner 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ Weekly's hard-copy role.
LeftCast is also occasionally taken up by community radio stations here in Australia and internationally. This year the network is keen to promote its syndication potential. If you know of any progressive radio show in your locality on community radio, you can help LeftCast by drawing their attention to the audio archive that is available on the web for free download and useable under a Creative Commons licence.
Those who have been listening to VenSol, Ratbag Radio's Venezuela solidarity channel, will be pleased to know that a new audio partnership, focusing on Latin America, will be launched soon. This will replace VenSol which has been on hiatus since the Venezuelan national elections last year.
