PRD still needs financial support

As a result of fundraising activities over the last few weeks, ASIET has been able to send a further $3000 to activists in Indonesia. This brings to over $5000 the amount sent so far. Thanks to everybody who has made donations or helped with fundraising activities. Other donations have been used to pay for PRD international representative Nico Warouw's current speaking tour of India, Europe and South Africa.

But the need is still as strong as ever. PRD members are still being hunted and still cannot return to their jobs. Those who have families are in a special difficulty and the organisation is more stretched than ever. They need more safe houses. They need to fund their new underground newsletter, Pembebasan (Liberation). And there are many other expenses.

Money sent by ASIET so far has been used to equip underground activists with lap-top computers so they can continue their work while remaining mobile. But we have not yet been able to contribute much to helping the families of activists who have been forced to leave their jobs and go underground. Please send donations to ASIET National Secretariat, PO Box 458, Broadway NSW, Australia 2007. Thank you.
