The announcement by the Albanese government that Australia will buy nuclear-powered submarines from the United States and Britain for $368 billion is a massive escalation of militarism in the Asia Pacific region and undermines peace in the region.
The billions being spent on nuclear submarines & now tomohawk missiles could be used to address the climate crisis and the cost-of-living crisis.
Join 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ and Socialist Alliance for a discussion on why we need a foreign policy that is based on justice and peace, and building a mass movement that can reverse course.
Tasty, affordable meal available from 6pm @ Resistance Centre.
