Why

On January 31st Environment Minister Leanne Linard will sign off on Whitehaven’s Winchester South coal mine, and we’re occupying her office to say ‘no more coal mines!’

The Winchester South coal project is one of over 100 new coal and gas projects in the pipeline in Australia - fuelling catastrophic climate change and leading to more heatwaves, floods and fires.

Whitehaven Coal are convicted environmental criminals - stealing water, injuring workers and destroying cultural heritage. This mine must not proceed!

This will be an accessible event at her electorate office in Nundah.

RSVP is essential so you can be sent the meeting point and we know how you want to be involved.
