The self-styled democratic socialist said the US needed a movement of millions of people instead.

Sanders, who has called for a 鈥減olitical revolution鈥 against the rule of the US elites, said: 鈥淚f there is any person here, any person here that thinks I'm coming to you as some kind of saviour, that I'm going to do it all 鈥 all myself, you're wrong. No president, not Bernie Sanders or anybody else can do it alone.

鈥淲e need a political movement with millions of people 鈥 The only way that real change takes place is when millions of people stand up and fight back. That's what this campaign is about.鈥
