The Northern Rivers Union Network (NRUN) was formally launched at the "End the lies" rally in Lismore on October 2. Richard White, a member of the Community and Public Sector Union, spoke on behalf of NRUN about the increasing levels of casualisation under the Coalition government and its harmful effects on regional communities. Union members also collected signatures supporting the Free Craig Johnston campaign. NRUN's next meeting will be at 5.30pm on Thursday 14 October at the Station Hotel (back bar), cnr Union and Casino Sts, South Lismore. For more information phone Andrew Watson on (02) 66 291 697.
