Legendary masters of hip-hop Public Enemy made their seventh visit to Australia to play to 800 fans at St Kilda鈥檚 Esplanade Hotel on May 17, after consecutive shows in Brisbane and Sydney.
Original members Chuck D and Flavor Flav belted out their most popular hits including 鈥淒on鈥檛 Believe the Hype鈥, 鈥淲elcome to the Terrordome鈥 and 鈥淔ight the Power鈥 from their 25 year-long recording career .

Thirty people participated in a media stunt outside the office of federal resource minister Martin Ferguson on May 7 to demand that he and the ALP keep their election promise to repeal the Commonwealth Radioactive Management Act of 2005 and its 2006 amendment. The protest was organised by Friends of the Earth.
On June 6, 120 people attended a public meeting, organised by Peace Convergence Melbourne, against Talisman Sabre 2007. Involving 14,000 US and 12,000 Australian troops, Talisman Sabre will be the largest joint military training exercise in Australia聮s history. Areas in central Queensland and the Northern Territory (including the Great Barrier Reef and Indigenous heritage sites) will be centre stage.
