Burn Witch Burn — A comedy. John is entering a spectacular float in the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. He is keeping it secret from flatmate Matthew, who has gone all right wing and paranoid. Rani discovers the giant float in the bathroom, disguised as an Italian wedding cake. Killer robots, lovesick computers, Copperart, game shows, KFC and Barbara Eden all combine in an exciting climax of clashing ideologies. ABC Radio National, Friday, March 3, 9.30pm.

Spineless Wonders — One of the more surprising items listed in Australia's National Estate Register is a small ant whose genus dates back almost to the era of the dinosaurs. Thought to exist only as fossils, it was recently discovered alive and well spoiling people's barbies. ABC Radio National, Sunday, March 5, 2.05pm.

Tokyo's Burning — The most devastating civil fire in history took place 50 years ago in Tokyo. One hundred thousand people died and a million homes were destroyed. This was no natural disaster; it was the deliberate design of US General Curtis LeMay. LeMay later supervised the carpet bombing of Vietnam. ABC Radio National, Sunday, March 5, 8.30pm.

A special trans-Tasman link-up with Radio New Zealand featuring a panel discussion between prominent activists in Wellington and Melbourne. Noon: City Limits. It is often only when a relationship or business breaks down that a woman finds out exactly what her financial situation is. City Limits will discuss relationships, love and trust within the context of money, business and debts. 12.30pm: Not Another Koori Show. Koori women speak out: news, views and "Thank Your Koori Stars with Madam Zora". 2pm: Women's World. Peace issues in the Year Of Tolerance. 2.30pm. Live to air: Hot Damn Tamale presents an examination of the women's music scene ten years ago and now. 4pm: Hometime. Women's current affairs and comedy. 5.30pm: Women on the Line. Current affairs. 6pm: Raising the Roof. Community housing and tenancy issues. 6.30pm: Women's Kabayan. The Centre for Philippine Concerns program. 7pm: Mafalda. Spanish-speaking women explore the relationship between feminism and politics. 7.30pm: Voice of the Arabic Women. A visit to International Women's Day in Lebanon featuring interviews with prominent Lebanese women and a discussion of the Lebanese Women's Committee's recommendations to Beijing. 8pm: Greek Women's Stories. Greek women tell their life stories in song, poetry and verse. 8.30pm: Live to air: Vramousa! (Dirty Girl) and Saturn Return. A fabulous show to celebrate International Women's Day, simulcast from the Brunswick Town Hall. Saturn Return are a fiery duet featuring Jenny Game on saxophones and Hope Csutoros on violin. Vramousa! is a sensual, joyous cabaret which challenges the notion of good and bad girls. 10.30pm: Lesbian (and Gay) Show. The issue of transvestites in the lesbian movement.
