Protesters say: ‘Housing is a right, not a business’

“Build tenant power” rang out through the CBD streets on April 22 in a housing justice rally organised by SEQUR — South East Queensland Union of Renters.

One speaker said: “Our message to you today is a call to action. This crisis will not end unless we end it.

“There are two options facing renters in Australia: Fight for our rights, or forever accept being exploited, abused and mistreated.

“I say we choose to fight.”
