African crime gangs

It has started again.

This week鈥檚 statement by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull that there is 鈥済enuine concern about Sudanese gangs鈥 suggests we have reached the epitome of this ongoing scare campaign. Offering the same rhetoric the Victorian Liberals have has been drumming out for the best part of the past two years, Turnbull unashamedly entered the fray.

I awoke this morning to Radio National telling me that United States President Donald Trump could be in line for a Nobel Peace Prize.

What the 鈥 is black white? Had I awoken in a dystopian parallel universe?

Last week, the creep was bombing Syria. This week he鈥檚 the world鈥檚 greatest peacemaker and British bookies are slashing the odds on Trump and Kim Jong-un getting a Nobel Prize!

Hundreds of people attended a rally in Melbourne's CBD on February 4 to protest racist media coverage and treatment at the hands of the police and politicians.

The protest was organised by Sudanese activists in the wake of comments made by federal and state Coalition politicians about a supposed 鈥淎frican youth crime wave鈥.

Following the Herald Sun鈥檚 鈥淎frican gang crisis鈥 coverage about alleged Sudanese youth violence, it is hard not to assume Murdoch tabloid editors just stick on a blindfold, spin round a few times, then chuck a dart at a giant map of the world to determine who to target for their next bullshit beat up.
