鈥淚t is a war between the majority of [Labour] MPs and the overwhelming majority of Labour Party members 鈥 hundreds and thousands of them,鈥 says Kate Hudson, the national secretary of English party Left Unity, on the struggle over Jeremy Corbyn's leadership of the Labour Party.
Hudson, who is also general secretary for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, was speaking to Melbourne community radio station 3CR's Solidarity Breakfast show on July 23.

Jeremy Corbyn鈥檚 election as Labour leader has raised hopes for people who oppose Britain's wars. More than in any other area, it will take a mighty effort to make those hopes real.
There is no other area in which national politics so ignores the population at large. On the economy, health, education and so on, there is at least debate.
Socialist Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn looks set to win the party鈥檚 leadership in the coming weeks 鈥 sending shock waves through the British establishment.
He has generated huge enthusiasm among young people with his ultra-radical concepts like 鈥渕aybe don't start pointless wars so poor people die for economic elites鈥 and 鈥渓et鈥檚 ensure we can all access health care and basic services鈥.
But surely Corbyn is cheating. The whole concept of 鈥渄emocracy鈥 seems rigged in his favour due to his dangerous approach of advocating policies that are actually in the interests of the majority.
