Maung Maung Than, secretary of the Australian Coalition for Democracy in Burma and veteran of the 1988 student uprising, told 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ that Burma Revolution Day on March 27 will be marked by actions around the world in support of the people's resistance to the military coup regime of Myanmar/Burma.
He said that the resistance forces now controlled more than half of the country and that the military coup regime only had control of a third. He also explained that the Australian government's response to the February 1, 2021 military coup (which seized power from a government popularly elected in 2020) was very late and weak.
