Anthony Albanese says he’s ‘more like John Howard’?

Anthony Albanese cited John Howard as a political inspiration.

Labor opposition leader Anthony Albanese has described himself as “more Hawke or Howard and less Shorten”. Holy shit!

He has also assured the business community that he is pro-enterprise and will seek a new accord with unions to “grow the economy” and “lift productivity”.

Further, he is promising to pursue regulatory reform for business to “cut red tape”, while seeking to “rediscover the spirit of consensus” between Labor’s industrial wing and corporate Australia to encourage profits and wages growth.

In other words, he wants to reform the economy in the same fashion as former Coalition PM John Howard and former Labor PM Bob Hawke.

We know from the experience of the Accord years, those ambitions are doomed to fail!

We’ve moved on since those failures and we, the people, will not tolerate any return to bad old days of those vicious people who manufactured the conditions to establish our very own Australian oligarchy.
