Refugees took their protest to the streets on November 17. They walked 10 kilometres from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese鈥檚 electorate office in Marrickville to immigration minister Tony Burke鈥檚 office in Punchbowl with signs to let passers-by know their plight.

The protest, organised by refugees, was called on day 104 of a 24/7 picket for permanent visas set up out outside Burke鈥檚 office. They have been calling for permanent visas after having been promised the 鈥淔ast Track鈥 process by the Coalition government in 2014.
