Inspired by the United States encampments in support of Palestine, 300 people rallied at Curtin University in Boorloo/Perth on May 1 to launch the Students for Palestine Occupation at the WA campus.

The protesters are calling on Curtin University to divest from its links to weapons companies, such as Lockheed Martin, Babcock Australasia and Huntington Ingalls, which are still selling weapons to Israel.
