On March 20, 18 years since Australia’s joined the invasion of Iraq, hundreds of people joined a rally on Parliament Lawns to call for whistleblower Julian Assange to be freed and to suport public interest journalism.

Speakers included a representative from the local Julian Assange campaign group, Iraq war whistleblower Andrew Wilkie MP, Greens Senator Peter Whish-Wilson, and Christine Milne and Peter Jones representing Amnesty.
