The Hunter Workers Women鈥檚 Committee continued Newcastle鈥檚 tradition of loud and proud street marches with its聽International Women鈥檚 Day on March 6.
Two hundred unionists, gender and queer activists marched through Hamilton singing 鈥淲hat shall we do with the patriarchy? What shall we do with the patriarchy? Let鈥檚 do away with the whole Malarkey, smash the patriarchy!鈥
Speakers also addressed the many inequalities that Indigenous and other working class women face, including homelessness and insecure work.
