WOW — Women on women

SYDNEY — More than 20 short films by some of Australia's up and coming film makers will be shown at the AFI cinema in Paddington soon.

Titles that have been seen only once will mix with classics that have drawn accolades from the international festival circuit.

WOW, says the AFI, "is a celebration of the type of films our young film makers are producing. Without the boundaries of major production companies and large budgets, these films have developed themes which are controversial, exciting and challenging."

The eight short films in Session One will be shown twice on April 2 and 9 at 9 p.m.; the nine films in Session Two will be shown April 3 and 10 at 9 p.m. For more information, phone Rosemary Blight on 281 9550.
