About 150 students rallied at the University of Queensland (UQ) St Lucia campus in solidarity with Palestine on February 29.
The action by Students for Palestine was part of a national walkout of students across the country.
Speakers encouraged students to stand up for the human rights of Palestinians and to stand against all forms of oppression.
They also highlighted the collaboration between UQ and military contractors such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
Students marched to the Boeing Centre on campus with speeches outside. Boeing is one of the top suppliers of the Israeli military, providing fighter jets and JDAM guidance kits for bombs. Boeing has operated a joint research facility with UQ at their St Lucia campus since 2017.
Security blockaded the entrance of the Boeing Centre and called police, despite the protest being peaceful.
Veteran activists said it was the largest rally for Palestine at UQ in a decade. Students for Palestine is encouraging students to get involved in the campaign and to plan future actions.
