About 100 people rallied against the Geelong Star super trawler in Adelaide on April 26.
The crowd gathered at Port Adelaide to oppose the 95-metre long factory ship which protesters say will hurt recreational fishing and damage the marine environment.
The rally then marched to Birkenhead Bridge and dropped a large banner that read 鈥淪top the Super Trawler鈥.
In 2012, a large campaign against factory freezer ship Margiris won a government ban on super trawlers for two years.

Fisheries Campaigner at the Australian Marine Conservation Society Tooni Mahto said the ship has already killed four dolphins and two fur seals within the first few weeks of fishing in Australian waters.
鈥淭he Australian Fisheries Management Authority and sectors of the fishing industry have consistently said that this vessel poses no real threat to Australian wildlife. These empty assurances have quite clearly backfired.
鈥淲e call on the Australian government to act to protect our marine life by banning the factory freezer trawler the Geelong Star and all large factory trawlers from Australian waters.鈥
