STOP PRESS: Santos was ordered by the Federal Court on November 2 to听stop its Barossa pipeline work after Tiwi Traditional Owner won an听injunction.听Justice Charlesworth found听in favour of the court hearing the case, bought by Jikilaruwu man Simon Munkara, to stop work on the pipeline work because it would听breach听environmental regulations.

Senior Jikilaruwu Elder Molly Munkara is among five Elders who have asked federal environment minister Tanya Plibersek to urgently intervene to stop Santos from destroying Tiwi cultural heritage. Kerry Smith reports.

Plaintiff and Tiwi Elder Dennis Tipakalippa said he was听鈥渢he happiest man alive鈥 after the Federal Court ruled Santos鈥 approval to drill for gas in the sea north of the Tiwi Islands was invalid.听Rebecca Parker reports.
